Your Door of Hope
Who am I? Is there a purpose for my life? What will happen to me when I die? Is there any hope for a better life? Hope for real peace, joy, and fulfillment?

These questions are all valid and have been asked by people for ages. The sum of all of your questions can only be found in God.

First you must understand that as seeds of the fallen Adam, we are born with sinful natures which separate us from God.  The Bible says, “There is none righteous, no, not one; … “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God...” (Romans 3:10, 23) What does this mean?  It means that there is absolutely no way in the world we could ever be who God created us to be on our own, because as sinners, we can never meet or measure up to His requirements. But the good news is that God didn’t just leave us to struggle in empty and miserable lives – only to die and be cursed to death, hell, and eternal damnation.

God came up with a “Bail Out” plan that we all qualify for.  We were in debt up to our eyeballs, but He mercifully decided to completely forgive the debt owed. Wow! The Bible says that, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever (you and me) believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

Our door of hope…our only hope… is faith in Jesus.  Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)  Friend, God created you and knows your framework better than you or anyone else. He’s got the answers that you so desperately long for. God has a specific plan and purpose for your life – to give you peace where there is confusion and uncertainty, joy for your sorrow, and a blossoming hope for your future. The door to freedom and a new beginning is open to you today.  Will you walk through it? The choice is yours.

Acknowledge, Confess and Believe – What are you acknowledging? Your sins and your need for forgiveness.  What are you confessing? That Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, died for your sins. What are you believing? Believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. The Bible says that “if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9, 10)

Now pray this simple pray of salvation:   Lord, I am a sinner and in need of your forgiveness.  I confess you Jesus as the Son of God, who died for my sins – and I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. Come into my heart and live in me. I receive you now as my personal Savior. Amen.

Now that you’re on the other side of the threshold of hope, Jesus has taken the liberty of shutting the door to your past forever! There’s no need for you to ever look back. Just keep your eyes on Him and follow wherever He leads. Get in a bible-based church as soon as possible and begin building your life on a solid foundation which is God’s Word.
